Did you know that studies show people with straight and beautiful smiles are considered to be more friendly, more outgoing, even more intelligent and successful than others? So, if you think having braces as an adult might be a stumbling block on the road to success, think again. Especially now that you don’t have to contend with traditional metal braces for orthodontics. With Invisalign, Dr. Bushdid can straighten your teeth almost imperceptibly to everyone who sees you.
Invisalign uses a system of clear plastic aligners to straighten teeth. Just like tradition braces, Invisalign can be used to correct:
- Crooked teeth
- Gapped teeth
- Crowded teeth
- An Open Bite
- A CrossBite
But unlike traditional metal braces, you will not have to worry about your appearance with braces. Moreover, because Invisalign clear braces are removable, you’ll be able to eat all the foods you enjoy, even those that are forbidden with metal braces, such as popcorn and nuts. And you’ll be able to brush and floss your teeth as usual, so your oral health is much more easily maintained and assured with Invisalign. And more importantly once your teeth are straight it is even easier to brush and floss, hence improving the health of your gums!
Coral Gables Invisalign Treatment
Dr. Bushdid will be able to determine if you are qualified candidate for Invisalign. Then, he will work in conjunction with the Invisalign lab to develop clear braces that will treat your unique smile. We begin with photos, x-rays and impressions that are sent to Invisalign to develop a virtual model of your existing smile and bite. Using this, Dr. Bushdid creates a treatment plan that is essentially the guide that he and Invisalign follow to fabricate your aligners.
These aligners are organized sequentially—wear one set and then move on to the next. That’s about all there is to it. Dr. Bushdid will want to see you periodically throughout the course of your Invisalign treatment to make sure your teeth are moving as planned. However, there won’t be any need for time-consuming and sometimes painful adjustment appointment as there are with traditional braces. Just wear your aligners each day except for when you need to eat or brush and floss your teeth. Depending on your unique set of circumstances, treatment with Invisalign usually takes between one to two years, at the end of which you will have the impressive smile you’ve always wanted.
